Job Description

Vivo Pakistan is looking for a motivated Intern Maintenance Engineer to join its maintenance and after-sales service team. This entry-level role is designed for fresh graduates or students in the later semesters of their Electrical Engineering degree who are eager to develop technical expertise and practical skills in a dynamic environment. The position focuses on diagnosing and repairing mobile phones while supporting the team with troubleshooting and customer service tasks. The intern will work independently and collaboratively with experienced engineers to learn effective problem-solving techniques, manage customer interactions professionally, and maintain detailed repair documentation. This role demands strong analytical abilities, clear communication skills, and a proactive approach to learning and contributing to service quality without managing a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive mobile phones from customers or distributors for diagnosis and repair ensuring careful handling and accurate assessment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical faults using guidance from senior maintenance engineers, developing hands-on experience with repair techniques.
  • Study technical manuals, product specifications, and repair documentation to continually improve repair capabilities and product knowledge.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers to provide updates on repair status and to explain technical solutions and maintenance procedures.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and service-related concerns to maintain high satisfaction and trust in the maintenance department.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all repair activities to facilitate quality control and traceability of service work.
  • Identify recurring technical problems during repair processes and collaborate with the engineering team by providing feedback to help improve service methods and reduce faults.
  • Support service consultants during busy periods or their absence to ensure smooth service operations and consistent customer support.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams across departments to enhance service quality, increase efficiency, and optimize repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by management that contribute to the overall success of maintenance and after-sales service operations.
